What is a Virtual Manual?

A "virtual" manual (or a vBook) is a complete learning and reference tool that shows you how to repair and maintain your Motorcycle, ATV or Watercraft.. A SouthPoint vBook includes video clips, drawings, diagrams, photos, text and narration - and anything else needed to do the job - including sounds, tool lists, specifications and "pop-up" videos.  The software is simple to use and runs on any Windows Based PC or Laptop.  If you don't have a PC handy, the video clips can be viewed on any standard DVD player or uploaded to your iPod.  You can also print the manual sections out to take with you.  A SouthPoint vBook is an entirely new approach to technical documentation.  We are currently producing vBook products for OEMs and Aftermarket suppliers.  See our "Services" section on how we can provide you with a complete documentation solution.

How does a vBook compare to a printed manual?

A vBook simplies your understanding of any material. Simple. That's how we designed it, and that's how it works. Videos clips are syncronized with photos, diagrams, charts, additional audio... you name it. Whatever it takes to help you consume the information - and retain it. In may places you will find lists, tips and additional pop-up videos that can further exaplain the material, or in certain cases, the principles behind How It Works. We focus on the areas that cause the most confusion. In the case of motorcycle repair, it might be installing a bearing without a press, or how to prep a surface. It's all in there, and it's all designed to help you work like a pro which in turn saves you time, money and frustration. We believe that Knowledge Is Power. It's easy once you've seen someone else do it.

A little about us...

SouthPoint was founded by a group of engineers and scientists dedicated to finding a better way to perform maintenance and repair work at home.  Our team has more than 60 combined years of competition-level experience including AMA Professional Motocross and Road Racing, and decades of maintenance and hands-on repair work.  We don't just print what some book or consultant tells us. In fact, we won't add any procedure until we've done it ourselves - whichs allows us to eliminate mistakes before you pay for them with frustration and wasted time.  A SouthPoint manual is a mechanical knowledge-base you can tap into where and when you need it.
